Essential Oils and Your Emotions, Spirit, Body and Mind

shareasimage (22)The immune system, as well as the psyche, nervous system and subtle body operate concurrently to preserve health.

We can correctly call essential oils “biospiritual agents,” as they are capable of traveling throughout the whole body, and healing everywhere.

Essential Oils work on the body in four ways:

  • Physical
  • Mental
  • Emotional
  • Spiritual

Matter, energy and information, known as the “Aromatic Triad,” is understood as an integral part of oils, according to Daniel Penoel, MD in Natural Home Health Care Using Essential OIls. Oils assist in healing at different steps of the body’s healing system, and as adaptogens, can work on the body with surprising results. The potential of essential oils is expansive.

According to Dr. Penoel, eight realms are considered to be positively affected by essential oils, and can provide the following physical benefits:

  • Congenital Realm: correct heredity through DNA repair
  • Organic Realm: promote improved organ functions
  • Bioelectric Realm: balance pH, resist electricity reduce oxidation
  • Microbial Realm: eliminate unwanted bacteria
  • Immunity Realm: improve immune system
  • Structural Realm: correct bone, joint, muscle systems—notably, the spine
  • Glandular Realm: improve glandular activity
  • Neuro-Psychic Realm: improve brain functions—pain response, endorphins, subconscious, memory, libido

EFT is the process of using the power of energy and words to imbue energy at specific points of the body. Combined with essential oils, this makes for a powerful measure of healing. Read some of our EFT Tapping Scripts and see all potential scripts for healing.

Essential oils help the mind, body and spirit. If you want to improve the quality of your own realms, we have some blends that can help. For the Congenital realm, we recommend the Clearing Generational Patterns blend. For the Neuro-Psychic realm, we recommend the Sexual Energy Roll On, as well as the Focus and Memory blend.

Essential Oils for Weight Loss and Appetite Suppression

Essential Oils for Weight LossEssential oils are well-known as weight loss enhancers. You probably know about the “skinny bath,” or how cellulite can be reduced with the application of oils. But did you know that weight loss and appetite can be emotionally connected?

Eating can be a very emotional experience, and sometimes it is easy to eat for emotional reasons. Anxiety and depression can be “comforted” by food, and if food is used as comfort, over and over again, then naturally, this can become habitual and a cause of weight gain.

The role of essential oils in the support of appetite control is to soothe, comfort and clear the mind, and allow for an inner calm to take place, in order to choose abstinence instead of indulgence.

You can suppress cravings, ease and eliminate stress and anxiety (both really mess with appetite!), as well as balance and increase metabolism, minimize fluid retention, lower cholesterol, help with digestion, and release toxins.

We’ve blended together some of these oils to create a powerful, fat-blasting combination designed to not only help with physical weight loss, but the emotional baggage that provokes it.

Weight Loss Essential Oil Blend Roll On contains:

Lemon: Clears the mind, boosts metabolism, detoxifies, and dissolves fat

Pink Grapefruit: Energizes and detoxifies, dissolves fat

Peppermint: Vitalizes and energizes, reduces appetite, and curbs cravings

This is available in a convenient roll on form that can be applied directly to the body.

Other, single, pure essential oils which help support weight loss:

Emotional Freedom Technique- Tapping can also be used to help with cravings. By tapping acupressure points on your body with clearing statements, as well as the appetite supressing scents of oils, you can really combat troublesome weight in a powerful way.

Essential Oils and Massage Oils

When massage oils are created from natural plant and essential oils, they’re less greasy and more enjoyable to apply. Containing sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, and apricot kernel oil, our massage oils are absorbed into the skin more quickly, but do not need continued application. essential oils and massage oils

Sunflower Oil

Light and non-greasy. Composed of the rich fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as palmitic and stearic acids, which are the makings of healthy skin. Stripped by harsh soaps and cleansers, the linoleic acid content of the skin deteriorates over time, and can decline steadily with age.

If you’re allergic to sunflowers or plants in the same family, avoid this oil.

Sweet Almond Oil

Pale yellow in color and slightly oily—just enough to permit the hands to smooth over the skin!

Absorbed quickly. Reapplication is typically not necessary, an excellent component of a useful massage oil.

If you’re allergic to nuts, avoid this oil.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Similar in color and texture to almond oil. Rich in vitamin E. Longer shelf-life than the typical oil. Similar to almond oil, this oil is absorbed into the skin. Doesn’t feel greasy afterwards!

Our French Vanilla Kiss Massage Oil is both edible and lickable, and smells and tastes scrumptious! It’s composed of flavored vanilla infusion oil, as well as sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, and apricot kernel oil.

Warming oils are also available, as well as aromatherapeutic oils that can be used for couples, or for a personal perfume or body oil.

Our Edible Serenity Massage Oil is composed of Lavender, Rosemary, Ylang Ylang, Orange, Lemon and Lime oils bring serenity to the mind, conditioning and softening the skin (see how the products in this oil help with the process of recovery here).

Essential Oils for Releasing Fears (Fear of Love, Change, Letting go…)

essential oils for fearFear is a silent, lingering feeling that prevents us from moving forward. It’s a part of the fight or flight response, which is a natural human instinct for survival. But what if fear becomes more than that silent feeling, and turns into a nagging monster, when there’s no fear to be found?

The possibility that something, anything can simply go wrong can strike fear in even the most fearless of us. When a feeling of fear sets in, the adrenal glands release adrenaline, which creates a very distinct physiological response: a fast heart rate, sweating, digestive issues; even blurred vision, palpitations, and numbness can occur. Our physiological response protects us from the assumed fear, but occasionally, it betrays us. It’s normal to be fearful when seeing a scary movie (if you’re scared by that sort of thing), but when you’re feeling fearful every day, and feeling anxious for no reason at all, then it’s probably time to probably seek out a solution to put your mind at ease.

Fear is a powerful emotion, and can limit one’s potential if it is allowed to blow out of proportion. The fearful individual does not move forward, and feels stagnant and alone.

Even the very best actors and public speakers have stage fright—the best of us have fear, however out of proportion the fear may be. Interestingly enough, it is now recommended by the Birmingham University’s Neuropsychiatry clinic that professional actors use aromatherapy to deal with stage fright (usually coupled with hypnosis).

Essential oils are a calming, natural remedy to symptoms of fear. They are so powerful that even a few sniffs from the bottle can help an individual to relax almost immediately.

We’ve put together a list of some of the very best essential oils to use when feeling fear, as well as blends that target specific objects of fear (are you afraid of failure? change?). Use the oils individually, try out a blend, or pair the ones you like together.

How exactly should you use these oils?
Use in the bath, in a diffuser or another aromatherapy method, inhale from a tissue or directly from the bottle, or dilute a drop or two of each oil in a 1 oz carrier oil.
