Essential Oils and Massage Oils

When massage oils are created from natural plant and essential oils, they’re less greasy and more enjoyable to apply. Our massage oils contain sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, and apricot kernel oil, and are absorbed into the skin more quickly than most store-bought oils, but do not need continued application. essential oils and massage oils

Sunflower Oil

The linoleic acid content of your skin can deteriorate over time and decline steadily with age when it is stripped by harsh soaps and cleansers.Sunflower oil is light and non-greasy. It’s composed of the rich, fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as palmitic and stearic acids, which are the makings of healthy skin.

If you’re allergic to sunflowers or plants in the same family, avoid this oil.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is pale yellow in color and slightly oily—just enough to permit the hands to smooth over the skin – but is absorbed quickly. Reapplication is typically not necessary, which is an indicator of a useful massage oil.

If you’re allergic to nuts, avoid this oil.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Similar in color and texture to almond oil and rich in vitamin E, apricot kernel oil has a longer shelf-life than other oils. It is similar to almond oil, in that it absorbs well and doesn’t feel greasy after a massage.

Essential Oils and Massage Oils

Our French Vanilla Kiss Massage Oil is both edible and lickable, and smells and tastes scrumptious! It’s composed of flavored vanilla infusion oil, as well as sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, and apricot kernel oil.

Forest Scent Holiday Potpourri with Essential Oils

Forest Scent Holiday Potpourri with Essential Oils

Forest Scent Holiday Potpourri with Essential Oils is a wonderful way to not only give a room a pleasant aroma, but to also add beautiful holiday décor!

The History of Potpourri

In the 12th century, spices and herbs were placed in large cooking cauldrons after meals were prepared each day.

Then, these spices and herbs were placed in containers, and spirits were added. The contents were left to rot. This process created a pungent scent, and the container contents were then emptied on top of flowers that were placed in pretty bowls and other types of open containers. These were then placed in various rooms throughout the castle to add a lovely scent and pretty décor!

Today, essential oils are paramount in creating the aromatic scents of potpourri. Additionally, making your own potpourri can be creative and satisfying!

Forest Scent Holiday Potpourri with Essential Oils

Scent your space this holiday season with a spicy, outdoorsy scent that’s softened with a touch of Lavender for balance.

To make your own Forest Scent Holiday Potpourri with essential oils, gather dried leaves, flowers and small wood shavings. Then, crush these plant materials to the desired size.

Next, place 1/2 cup of plant material in a wide-mouthed glass jar and add the following essential oils:

Stir the contents well and tighten the lid on the jar. Let the potpourri sit for several days to allow the aroma molecules to be absorbed by the plant material.

Natural Room Disinfectant Spray with Essential Oils

Natural Room Disinfectant Spray with Essential OilsMost commercial “room fresheners” are aerosol sprays that contain a sea of unnecessary toxic chemicals that have been proven to be “neurotoxins,” meaning they are basically poisons that act on the nervous system.

These neurotoxins can cause dizziness nausea, loss of motor control, paralysis, difficulty with vision, seizures and, to the extreme, even coma or death.

Don’t expose yourself and your family to these poisons! Instead, make your own simple, safe, and effective DIY spray that also costs a fraction of those commercial cans of poison!

Natural Room Disinfectant Spray with Essential Oils

Simply get a spray bottle (you can often find them at the dollar store!) and fill it with pure water. Next, add the required amounts of each essential oil, as per the recipe, above.

Close the bottle tight and gently shake. You’ll be able to smell the aromatic blend right away, but the scent will become stronger over time. Within a day after making this recipe, you will already notice the stronger smell.

Lavender essential oil is antibacterial.* Cinnamon Bark essential oil is known for its antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, and astringent properties.* And finally, Allspice has an antiseptic property that inhibits bacterial growth.*

This natural room disinfectant spray with essential oils is made from oils that have amazing aromas on their own, but are even more pleasing to your sense of smell when blended. So you can see this DIY spray is truly a room disinfectant that is safe, and smells good, too!

Quiet the Snorer with Essential Oil Mist

Quiet the Snorer with Essential Oil Mist

My first memories of dealing with a “snorer” are those of my dad, who snored so loud you could hear him from another room in the house!

Going on vacations was even worse because my parents would get a motel room with two beds and we all would have to deal with poor dad’s snoring in the very same room! He always told us to just come up and pinch him in the nose, a very temporary fix, as the quiet only lasted a few minutes and the snoring started right back up again!

As an adult, I’ve had to deal with a partner’s snoring in the same bed. If there’s ever a time when you just want to get up and sleep on the couch, that would be it!

UGH! Snoring causes lots of havoc and sleepless nights, so we thought we might give you a solution to quiet the snorer with essential oil mist.

Using Essential Oils for Snoring

Mist the snorer’s pillow and sheets and the area around the snorer before bed. Using a spray mist or topical application of essential oils can be very effective to stop snoring.* Basically, the oils bypass the digestive tract and are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Relief can occur within minutes!
